Click of Death for Zip Drives

For those of you not familiar with how a floppy or disk drive operates, this
is the key to the "Click of Death" Syndrone the affects Zip drives.

If you dissassemble a Zip Drive and pull the bar back which extends into the
Cavity where the Zip Disc sits when you push it in the drive, you will notice
2 small square chip-like objects at the end of something which looks like
tweezers. These are the read/write heads on Zip drive and they should be
laying flat and horizontal and parallel to each other. If this is not the
case, then the read/write head which does not meet the above qualifications
and is not stiff/steady is your problem (in some cases your problem may be
so bad that the read/write head has fallen off the tweezer like object -
which means that your drive is not Fixable).

As far as a fix for the problem, assuming that it hasn't reached the last
extreme case, "A little imagination...and a steady hand" might do the trick
but it still might all boil down to "Aligment".
